Welcome to Cheriton Bishop Community Primary School’s website – we hope you enjoy reading and finding out about us! There is much information here about us and what we do, both in and out of the classroom. As our name suggests, we are an integral part of the community, maintaining very close links with the village. Cheriton Bishop is also part of the family of schools belonging to Crediton Learning Community.
“I feel that the children are held in high regard and helped to blossom and grow” parent of Year 1 pupil in one of our recent questionnaire’s to parents : March 2012
We pride ourselves on being a warm, close-knit school with high educational expectations and standards. This means we appreciate the varying needs and strengths of all our pupils, helping them to achieve their full potential.
We have a good-size playing field for sports and games, two hard play areas and a wildlife garden, which are utilised for our after school clubs. We also regularly go on trips, including residential activities for our Year 5/6 pupils. We have also been recognised under the Healthy Schools scheme, reflecting the emphasis we put on the well being of our pupils.
“The range of activities and imagination is staggeringly good – loved the chalk dinosaur in the playground to scale!”
