Welcome to Class 3
In our Geography lessons, we have been learning about Dartmoor and how to read maps. We had a great time navigating around Bellever Tor near Postbridge with two rangers from the DPHT.
Rock Climbing and Orienteering
The Year 4 children had a wonderful day of orienteering and rock climbing at QE. They successfully navigated themselves around the sports fields and grounds, as well as learning three different climbing knots!
In our Forest School sessions, run by Eve, we have learnt to make nature crafts, leaf prints and how to build a fire safely. As well as popping pop-corn and baking our own bread!
This term in our Topic lessons we are learning about Stone Age to the Iron Age. We discovered lots of interesting artefacts in our simulated archaeological dig!
As part of our topic we will be making a range of model military aircraft used throughout WWII. We used them to make a display depiciting the Battle of Britain
We have also made Anderson sheltors and followed a WWII Potato Pete recipe to make Irish potaato cakes.
